Child Safety Standards

Our commitment to preventing child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) on 1st-Date.

1st-Date is strictly an 18+ platform. We have zero tolerance for any content or conduct that exploits, harms, or endangers minors.

Age Verification at Signup

Every user must provide their date of birth during registration. Users who are under 18 years of age are immediately blocked from creating an account. We enforce this requirement at both signup and during profile review by our moderation team.

Photo Verification

All users must complete a live selfie verification before their profile becomes visible to others. A human moderator reviews each verification submission and can reject any profile that raises concerns about age or authenticity. Profiles that do not pass verification remain hidden from the platform.

Zero Tolerance Policy

1st-Date has an absolute zero tolerance policy for:

Any account found to be in violation of this policy is immediately and permanently suspended. We do not issue warnings for CSAE violations.

In-App Reporting

Every user profile on 1st-Date has a built-in report button. Users can report any profile or message that raises child safety concerns directly within the app, including through Support & Reports with relevant evidence attachments. Reports are reviewed by authorized staff and escalated to law enforcement where required. Attachments are stored privately and should never include unrelated personal information.

Reporting to Authorities

1st-Date complies with all applicable child safety laws, including mandatory reporting obligations. Any confirmed or credibly suspected instance of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) is reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) via the CyberTipline and to relevant national and regional law enforcement authorities.

Content Moderation

Profile photos and verification selfies are reviewed by our moderation team before a profile goes live. We do not rely solely on automated systems for content that may involve child safety risks.
